but that may have had summat to do with the fact that the place was rammed!!

it was the biggest and noisiest crowd we've played to in the lion in a long time !!

a BIG, BIG thank you to everyone who came up to the CROSS KEYS MORLEY on sat night and made it one of our best gigs in ages, everyone was just up for a shout and a pogo big time, some decent pics to come when i can find the camera

Hey BSD, Diane, everyone. I’ve peaked too early! Was in the house last night checking in on this forum and thought i’d see who was playing when i saw The Erics were at Morley and before i knew it i was in the car and on me way

.

Now i’ve seen the erics only once before at the Lion in Cas and knew they were a quality band, but bloody hell at the Cross Keys they were fantastic, no bullshit suck up hype this, they were ace, the place was packed and they had everyone jumping about like they were in a middle aged mosh pit!

.

I don’t think i know of any band who create the party atmosphere that the Erics do, and i was sober! ....oh and if you ain’t seen Crusher strut his funky stuff then you’ve a treat to behold

.

On to my review of the erics last night at the cross keys,I can honestly say I have never seen the place so full. I walked in during their opening number and people were stood packed like sardines. The band must have been over the moon with the turnout and this in turn spurred the band on to deliver a magic performance, their best for a long long time. The music was tight,the levels were excellent, the jokes and banter were flowing thick and fast and little sexy dave was totally bolloxed! This is one man who likes the jd just as much as I do and it had a serious impact on his mental state last night. He is known to mingle with the crowd during songs but he spent more time running along the back of the seating than he did on stage! The band turned out in hawaiaan style shirts and the infamous erics spectacles were on show

.

The first set flew by and they kicked off the second by having Di, yes that Di, guesting on drums for teenage kicks only to end the song by telling Paul he was now surplus to requirements! They ended the second set in usual fashion by inviting crusher on stage to blast through a few Elvis,Tom Jones and proclaimers numbers .Paul mentioned crushers velcro chest wig which had the place in raptures. They finished the night off with about 5 encores to a still packed pub

When all the band members join second bands the erics gigs will be few and far between which will probably make every gig as packed as this one but well worth standing through

a great rock boozer this, run by the splendid julie and H, its always a great atmosphere. plus with it being cas theres likely to be a guest singer or two, all this plus its got cheap beer as well

erics towers recieved the two above pics today in a pre dawn deliverery by a ninja 80's new wave band in a converted gas board van

.

as you can see the pics both contained mav and bev celebrating their 40th wedding anniversery, congrats to both on their 50th and heres to another 60 more

.

also in the same delivery were instructions that sam has got to stop his vegan detox as a diet of sprouts, cabbage and wet lettuce were doing nothing for the bands status as the sexiest band on the planet (called the erics) and we wont even go into the part where he was told he had to drink his own water

.

i think they just meant that he wasnt allowed to share his bottle of evion with anyone else

.

also contained were details that the erics will not be playing the crimea cas on sun 22nd june but MOJO will be

.

the erics will be at the CROSS KEYS MORLEY on sat night (21st) and are looking forward to a propper party time along with all the regulars and hopefully a few from last week at the carriers

.

we'll have balloons and crisps and everything
