Top Yorkshire Covers Band - REAL PUB ENTERTAINMENT!!

It was a sweaty mudfest but it was great!!

The Bramley Bikers really knew how to rock and indeed roll around in the mud as they demanded that the band play into the early hours of Sunday morning It resembled a huge mud wrestling contest by midnight, and the band took no pleasure in watching leather clad biker chicks covering themselves in it. Disgusting it was. Wish I'd taken a camera.....

'You Shook Me' by AC/DC got its first outing and went down very well. Despite technical problems with Phil's amp, it was a TRIUMPHANT night for the band.

Thanks to everyone there for a great night!!But particularly the couple who spent most of the evening virtually shagging in front of the stage. Filth, absolute filth. I kept forgetting the words....

New Material On the Way!

Recent rehearsals have centred around The Erics version of three songs.

You Shook Me - AC/DC, She Sells Sanctuary - The Cult and Dakota - The Stereophonics. These should all be in the set in the next month or so.

We have a private bikers gig over the Easter weekend but our next pub gig is at:

The Tut N Shive in Yeadon on Friday 1st of April.

This is the second time we have played at the Tut. The first gig was a great night (only a couple of our regular following came, so it was particularly satisfying to rock a crowd that hadn't seen us before!) and this one promises to be the same. This is a 'band' pub with a good atmosphere so we hope to see many of you there!!

we will email people on the mailing list with directions, as well as posting them here or you can contact us in the usual way.

***Stop Press***

The New Roscoe web site shows us playing there on Fri 8th April.
This is WRONG we are at The Crimea in Castleford on that night. The New Roscoe are aware of this and will amend their site soon.

Thanks to all the people who came to The Poplar in Altofts - You made it a great night.
There must have been around 20 of our regular following who made the trip.

Although it wasn't a classic in musical terms, the performance was good and the night went well. Everyone seemed to have had a rocking time. A blistering version of Summertime Blues allowed Sam to let rip on the solo and to finish off with we really nailed Ace of Spades.

Sam seems to be getting his new amp sorted out (after some teething troubles), plus there are lots of new ideas floating around at rehearsals, so the next few gigs promise to be crackers!!

We have made some additions to the Blog site.

It now boasts a Polling device, Guest book and Hit counter.
As far as the guest book goes, please just fill in the Name and Email bits on the form if you just want to make a quick comment. You can, of course, leave comments on individual blogs here on the main screen.

You can also add your name to our email list and we can update you on last minute gig changes and other news.

We also hope to have a photo album on the site in the near future. This will allow you to see more of our gig photos etc.

Daves artistic side revealed!!
we are hoping to get a few spoof album covers together to use as posters for gigs
rather than having half a dozen of the same poster on walls we thought it would be better and might attract peoples attention a bit more if we used 5 or 6 spoof covers from various bands and musical styles
so if you have any ideas of covers we could give the erics treatment drop us a line

MONSTER NIGHT AT CROSS KEYS

This really was a cracker.

The Erics rocked a packed house late into the night. New songs, a fresh sounding second set and Love God Crusher - what more could the audience ask for.

The whole place was shaking (so much that we couldn't keep the camera still!!) as new songs and old blasted the brilliant Cross Keys crowd for six. This was as good a gig as the band have played in a long time, and what a fantastic audience.

The massed voices in 500 miles and Swords were as loud as the lads have ever heard - thanks for a great night!

A NEW IMAGE??!!

Posted by Hello

welcome to the erics
the ultimate powermesh experience
hello and welcome to our site
you will find it packed with all the usual crap and trivial bollox
but if you don't know us its not a bad place to start
we have been together for eight years now and we like to think we don't just play the usual covers band stuff
(theres no brown eyed mustangs back in town here)
we play because we enjoy it
and the best way to do that is to play the songs we like ,
we grew up with , went out and bought and songs that we listen to now
the erics live usually consists of a lot of running/jumping , piss taking
and above all laughs
so if you fancy a good old piss up , come on down

sorry ladies but all the lads are spoken for
but you are still welcome to come and dribble

below you can find out more about the band , enjoy

SAM ; guitar - vox

SAM ( a classically trained penis) has been playing in bands for almost 70 years now and is a leading figure on the morley rockabilly gospel thrash skiffle scene
he started his musical career as session man on a variety of recordings by artists including the wurzels , black lace , right said fred and judas priest
he has kept the guitar industry in business for the past three decades
he is known as sam to his friend and legions of adoring fan
but was actually christened doris
it is actualy sam playing the fluglehorn solo on 70's disco classic YMCA

PHIL ; guitar -vox
Phil ( the tall one ) started his musical career in the mid 70's as half of the cheeky chappy cockney duo Chas and Dave
he has seen chart success in many other duos including peters and lee , rene and renate , black lace ( where he first met sam ) and motley crue
he is only four foot three but achieves his lofty looks with the aid of specially crafted wooden stilts and marks and spencers maternity trousers
phils next big project is to be a collaberation with Metallica based upon the life of Neil Sedaka which will result in a stageshow ( starring Chris De Burg ) , triple cd/dvd and puppet show

PAUL ; drums - bac vox
PAUL ( the gobby one ) started the modern trend for bellly button piercing whilst working at the Gutted Gusset ( grimsby's premier lapdancing club )
he then moved to morley and set up as a drum teacher
but when that proved difficult he decided to teach people instead
paul can only count to four but can cut all his own toenails
he now splits his time between the band and his day job as top hollywood body-double for the likes of Vin Diesel and Wynona Ryder
( the bit in Commando where Arnie puts all the weapons on , thats paul )
he likes cheese

DAVE ;bass - vox
DAVE ( the sexy one ) started on the entertainment circuit at an early age playing the youngest daughter of the Von Trap clan in nazi bashing classic the sound of music
he then went on to bigger and better things playing Arnold in 70's US hit TV sitcom Different Strokes where he first met sam who was playing his adoptive father
he has a collection of over 65,000 t-shirts ( all black )
of the two speakers he uses live only one is a working speaker
the other is a fridge
he sleeps in a specially made novelty kebab bed ( no salad )

ALL OF THE ABOVE INFORMATION IS ABSOLUTE BOLLOX!!!

SONGS
we are always on the lookout for new / old songs
so if you have anything you think would suit us
(no cheeky girls , the thongs play havok with me farmers)
just drop us a line or even have a gab at gigs
your input would be more than welcome ,
plus if they turn out shite we can always blame you
